Smash Virtual’s state-of-the-art 19,000 square foot production facility is purpose-built for Virtual Production in film, TV, and commercials. It features a massive 118 foot LED wall setup with live camera tracking and the most knowledgeable Virtual Production crew in the Midwest, ensuring a reliable and high quality Virtual Production experience.
Synapse VP – a global authority on Virtual Production and Digital Immersion – will be sharing technical insight in this Masterclass. Rich Lee, DGA (Framestore Pictures Director, Synapse Chief Creative Officer) and Cinematographer Christopher Probst, ASC (Synapse Chief Innovation Officer) will showcase cutting edge In-Camera VFX technology in action, explain use cases and best practices through case studies and live demos, and allow participants hands-on time with the technology to demystify the Virtual Production process.
Framestore – an Academy Award winning creative studio – will also be presenting case studies of recent commercials that have successfully utilized Virtual Production and Real Time technology. Framestore’s President James Razzall and Executive Vice President Krystina Wilson will discuss how Framestore is using cutting edge technology to reinvent the way it produces film, episodic and advertising content.
